    A comparative study on english vocabulary mastery between eleventh graders of social science class and natural science class at SMAN-1 Kapuas Hilir

    ABSTRACT The study was aimed at investigating the difference and similarities English vocabularymastery between eleventh graders of social science class and natural science class at SMAN-1 Kapuas Hilir. The main problems of this study are how is the English vocabulary mastery of the social science class and the natural science class eleventh of students at SMAN 1 Kapuas Hilir? And what are the differences and the similarities of English vocabulary mastery between the social science class and the natural science class at eleventhgraders ofSMAN 1 Kapuas Hilir? The study used quantitative comparative approach with Ex-post Factodesign in finding out the answer of problem of the study. The population of thestudy consisted of two classes of the eleventh graders at SMAN-1. The total number of studentswas 80 students, the writer choosed the studentsof social science class that consisted of 40 students and the studentsof natural science class that consisted of 40 students as the sample.The sample was determined by using purposive sampling technique. Both ofsamples were given a multiple choice test to gain the students’ score in English vocabularymastery. After getting the data of test score, the writer analyzed the data using ttestFisher formula to test the hypothesis. It was found that the result oftobserved was 2,339and the ttable was 1,991 at 5% of significance level with the degree of freedom (df) was 78. It showed that tobserved was higher than ttable. In addition, the calculation result used SPSS 17.0 also supported the interpretation of t-test resultfrom manual calculation. The result used SPSS 17.0 program calculation showedthat tobserved was 2,339. It was also higher than ttable at 5% level of significance(1,991). It meant that there wasa significant difference in English vocabulary mastery between eleventh graders of social science class and nature science class at SMAN-1. The result of testing hypothesis of the null hypothesis (Ho)stated that there was no significant difference in English vocabulary mastery between eleventh graders of social science class and natural science class at SMAN-1 was rejected and alternativehypothesis (Ha) stated that there wasa significant difference in English vocabulary mastery between eleventh graders of social science class and natural science class at SMAN-1 was accepted. In conclusion, there wasa significant difference in English vocabulary mastery between eleventh graders of social science class and natural science class at SMAN-1. The writer found the differences of proper noun score of social science class higher than natural science class. Next, the differences of verb score of social science class lower than natural science class. The last, the differences of adverb score of social science class lower than natural science class and similarities of adjective score of social science class and natural science class. ABSTRAKS Penelitian ini bertujuan untukmenginvestigasi perbedaan dan persamaan penguasaan kosa kata oleh siswa SMAN 1 Kapuas Hilir pada kelas sebelas, antara siswa dikelas (IPS) dan siswa dikelas (IPA) SMAN 1 Kapuas Hilir pada kelas sebelas. Pokok permasalahan dari penelitian ini adalah bagaimana penguasaan kosakata bahasa Inggris siswa SMAN 1 Kapuas Hilir pada kelas sebelas, antara siswa dikelas (IPS) dan siswa dikelas (IPA)? dan apa perbedaan dan persamaan penguasaan kosakata bahasa Inggris siswa dikelas sebelas (IPS) dan siswa dikelas sebelas (IPA) SMAN 1 Kapuas Hilir? Penelitianini menggunakan pendekatan komperatif kuantitatif dengan rancangan Ex-post Facto dalam menemukan jawaban dari permasalahan di penelitianini.PopulasidariPenelitian ini terdiri dari 2 kelas darisiswa-siswa kelas 11 di SMAN 1. Total jumlah siswa sebanyak 80 siswa, penulis memilih siswa ilmu pengetahuan sosial sebanyak 40 orang siswa dan ilmu pengetahuan alam sebanyak 40 orang siswa sebagai sampel. Sampel tersebut dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Masing-masing sampel diberikan tesberbentukpilihangandauntuk menilai hasil siswa dalam penguasaan kosa kata bahasa inggris. Setelah mendapatkan data darihasiltes, penulis menganalisa data tersebut menggunakan rumusFisher ttest untuk menguji hipotesis. Berdasarkanhasilanalisis, nilaidari tobserved adalah 2,339 dan ttable adalah 1,991 pada level siginifikan 5% dengan tingkat kebebasan (df) sebanyak 78. Makatobserved lebih tinggi daripada ttable.Sebagai tambahan, hasil dariperhitungan lain dengan menggunakan program SPSS 17.0 juga mendukung interpretasi dari nilai ttest yang menggunakan perhitungan manual. Hasil dari perhitungan menggunakan program SPSS 17.0 menunjukkan bahwa tobserved adalah 2,339. Nilai tersebut juga lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan ttable pada tingkat level signifikan 5% (1,991). Hal itu berarti ada perbedaan secara siginifikan dari penguasaa kosa kata bahasa inggris antara siswadikelas (IPS) dansiswadikelas (IPA). Berdasarkanhasildaripengujianhipotesis, hipotesis null (Ho) yang menyatakan bahwa tidakada perbedaan yang signifikan pada penguasaan kosa kata bahasa inggris kelassebelas (XI) antara siswadikelas (IPS) dan (IPA) di SMAN-1 ditolak, sedangkan hipotesis alternatif (Ha) yang menyatakan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada penguasaan kosa kata bahasa inggris kelassebelas (XI) antarasiswadikelas(IPS) dan (IPA) di SMAN-1diterima. Kesimpulannya,terdapat perbedaan penguasaan kosa kata bahasa inggris kelassebelas (XI) antara (IPS) danilmupengetahuanalam di SMAN-1.     Simple Handwriting Calculator Application Using Optical Character Recognition (OCR)

    The calculator is a calculation tool that is widely used in various specialized fields of business and commerce. The use of a calculator makes it easier for humans to perform calculation operations, but there are obstacles in the process of inputting numbers if you want to calculate the value of numbers on written media such as paper, whiteboards and so on. The user must first see the text on written media, then read it and remember it then type the writing on a calculator tool or application. The drawback of this method is that when the user forgets the writing on the written media, the user will see the written text and remember it again so that it takes longer to perform calculations using a calculator. The method used in this study is Optical Character Recognition, this method can recognize text contained in images or handwritten images of mathematical number operations. The results of the introduction of the text will then be carried out by arithmetic calculations to get the calculation results. From the trials on 20 handwritten images of mathematical number operations, the results obtained were 85% accuracy of extraction and accuracy of handwritten images that can be calculated and correct by 85%

    Kendala utama budidaya tanaman tomat di Kalimantan Tengah adalah lahan yang di dominasi oleh jenis tanah gambut yang bersifat sangat asam (pH rendah) dengan kapasitas tukar kation (KTK) tinggi dan kejenuhan basa (KB) yang rendah, serta kurang tersedianya unsur-unsur hara di dalam tanah. Keuntungan yang akan di dapat dari penggunaan pupuk kandang kotoran ayam tanah akan mengalami peningkatan kesuburan dengan meningkatnya KTK dan ketersediaan P dan Fe untuk tanaman, Sehingga tanah gambut yang asam akan menjadi lebih subur, serta kaya akan kandungan unsur hara N dan K yang diperlukan tanaman. Rumusan masalah: Apakah pemberian dosis pupuk kandang kotoran ayam berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman tomat pada tanah gambut pedalaman?. Tujuan penelitian ini: Untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian dosis pupuk kandang kotoran ayam pada tanah gambut pedalaman terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman tomat. Manfaat penelitian: penunjang materi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan, sebagai referensi kepada peneliti lanjutan dan informasi terhadap budidaya pertanian dan perkebunan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Juli 2013 sampai dengan bulan September 2013.Adapun tempat penelitian diJl. Jintan RT. 03 RW. VI. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan eksperimen dengan rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Jumlah sampel penelitiannya adalah 24 tanaman tomat (Lycopersicion esculentum Mill) varietas Betavila F1 yang ditanam pada 24 polybag penelitian. Variabel penelitian adalah variabel bebas perlakuan dosis pupuk kandang kotoran ayam dan variabel terikat pertumbuhan tanaman yang diamati tinggi tanaman, jumlah cabang, umur berbunga dan jumlah buah. Alat dan bahan seperti timbangan, soil tester, termometer, meteran, kertas label, ember plastik, biji tomat, kotoran ayam, polybeg, tanah gambuat, kapur dolomit, air dan seperangkat alat tulis. Adapun taraf perlakuan pemberian dosis pupuk kandang kotoran ayam pada penelitian ini diambil dari K0 = 0 gram/polybeg (kontrol), K1 = 500 gram/polybeg, K2 = 1000 gram/polybeg, K3 = 1500 gram/polybeg, K4 = 2000 gram/polybeg dan K5 = 2500 gram/polybeg. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: 1). pengaruh dosis pupuk kandang kotoran ayam berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman tomat dengan nilai Fhitung pada umur 4 MST = 3,64, umur 5 MST = 6,49, dan umur 6 MST = 3,60 pada taraf signifikan Ftabel 5% = 2,77 atau P > 0,05. 2). Pemberian dosis pupuk kandang kotoran ayam berpengaruh nyata pada jumlah cabang daun tanaman tomat dengan nilai Fhitung pada umur 4 MST= 2,85, umur 5 MST = 2,94 dan umur 6 MST = 2,84 pada taraf signifikan Ftabel 5% = 2,77 atau P > 0,05. 3). Pengaruh dosis pupuk kandang kotoran ayam berpengaruh sangat nyata pada umur berbunga tanaman tomat dengan nilai Fhitung = 4,40 pada taraf signifikan Ftabel 5% = 2,77 atau P > 0,05. 4). Pengaruh dosis pupuk kandang kotoran ayam berpengaruh nyata pada jumlah buah tanaman tomat dengan nilai Fhitung = 3,23 pada taraf signifikan Ftabel 5% = 2,77 atau P > 0,05.Terdapat pengaruh nyata terhadap pemberian dosis pupuk kandang kotoran ayam pada perlakuan K1(500gram) dengan nilai rata-ratayaitu tinggi tanaman 70,83, jumlah cabang daun 17,45, umur berbunga 38 dan jumlah buah pada saat panen 24,50 yang lebih optimal dalam pertumbuhan tanaman tomat. English The main hindrance of cultivation of tomatoes at Central Kalimantan is the area which is dominated by the kinds of peat land plants which is acid (lower pH) which high cation change is high and the degree of bases is low and lack of fertile elements. The advantage in earning from usage of chicken shif peat lands, land will experience of the improvement of fertility at the height of KTK and availability of P and Fe for plant, so that sour peat lands will become more fertile, rich and also element content of N hara and K needed of plant. The problem of the study is: Does the fertilizer chicken shit give an influence on the growth of tomatoes in the peat land in hinterland area?. The objective of study is: To know the influence of the fertilizer chicken shit on the growth of tomatoes in the peat land in hinterland area. The benefit of the study is: Supporter of growth items and growth, as reference researcher of information and continuation to agriculture conducting and plantation. The study is classified as an experimental one with Completed Random Design. The samples are 24 kinds of tomatoes Lycopersicum esculentum Mill) variety of Betavila F1 planted in 24 poly bags. The variable of the study is: Free variable of treatment of fertilize chicken shif, and variable tied growth of plant perceived is high of plant, amount of branch, bloomy age, and amount of fruit. The tools to be used such as weight, soil tester, camera, meter, label paper, plastic bucket, hammer, saw, knife, tomato seeds, chicken shit, poly bags, peat land, dolomite, water, and a set of writing tools. The degree of giving the fertilizer chicken shit in the study: K0 = 0 gram (control), K1 = 500 gram/poly bag, K2 = 1000 gram/poly bag,K3 = 1500 gram/poly bag, K4= 2000 gram/poly bag, dan K5= 2500 gram/poly bag. The results of the study indicates that: 1) The giving of the fertilizer of chicken shit has a significant influence on the growth of tomatoes (high of plant) in the peat land in hinterleand area with the Fcalculation in the age of 4 MST= 3.64, in the age of 5 MST= 6.49, in the age of 6 MST= 3.60 in the level of significance F table 5% =2.77 atau P > 0.05. 2) The giving of the fertilizer of chicken shit has a significant influence on the growth of tomatoes (amount of branch) in the peat land in hinterleand area with the Fcalculation in the age of 4 MST= 2.85, in the age of 5 MST= 2.94, in the age of 6 MST= 2.84 in the level of significance F table 5% =2.77 atau P > 0.05. 3) The giving of the fertilizer of chicken shit has a very significant influence on the growth of tomatoes (bloomy age) in the peat land in hinterleand area with the Fcalculation = 4.40, in the level of significance F table 5% =2.77 atau P > 0.05. 4) The giving of the fertilizer of chicken shit has a significant influence on the growth of tomatoes (amount of fruit) in the peat land in hinterleand area with the Fcalculation = 3.23, in the level of significance F table 5% =2.77 atau P > 0.05. There are significant influence to fertilizer of chicken shif at treatment of K1 (500 gram) with average value that is is high of plant 70.83, amount of leaf branch 17.45, bloomy age 38 and amount of fruit at the time of plant 24.50 more optimal in growth of tomato plant

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui model pelaksanaan, kendala dan upaya dalam bimbingan skripsi serta persepsi dosen berkenaan dengan rancangan model bimbingan skripsi online di IAIN Bukittinggi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian lapangan dengan menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif, instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan angket yang disebar kepada responden penelitian yang terdiri dari pimpinan institut, pimpinan fakultas, dosen dan mahasiswa yang berjumlah 44 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model yang sering dipakai dalam bimbingan skripsi adalah model bimbingan langsung saat mahasiswa menghadap, berkenaan dengan kendala, maka kendala penguasaan teknologi menjadi masalah di kalangan dosen IAIN Bukittinggi, sehingga bila tidak berada di tempat maka bimbingan skripsi tidak dapat terlaksana, upaya yang dilakukan untuk mengatasi kendala tersebut tidak ada kecuali menunggu sampai urusan dosen selesai atau hingga dosen tersebut pulang dari dinas luar serta persepsi responden terhadap adanya model bimbingan skripsi online, pada umumnya responden sangat setuju dengan model tersebut

In this case, this study aims to describe the factors of student academic procrastination during distance learning (online).     THE USE OF WORDLIST IN IMPROVING STUDENTS' SPEAKING ABILITY

    This research was aimed at finding out whether or not the use of wordlist can improve the speaking skill of the eleventh grade students at Pondok Pesantren Modern Al-Istiqamah. Total number of sample was 10 students. The study indicated that the students have positive opinion on the role of bringing wordlist in students‟ daily activity in using English. This is shown by result of test that 80% students strongly agreed about wordlist effectiveness in their speaking ability. The use of wordlist also opened their mind about learning English was fun and naturally, and had a big expectation towards English for being one of their English learning media legally. The researcher concluded that learning English, particularly in speaking, was very effective, innovative, and facilitating the students to have a new way in learning English. It means that the use of wordlist can significantly improve the students‟ speaking ability.Keywords: wordlist; improving; speaking ability

    Metode penelitian ini menggunakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dengan tujuan penelitian untuk mendeskripsikan efektifitas penggunaan pembelajaran kooperatif STAD dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang konsep mengurutkan pecahan. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VI SDN Kebonsari Wetan 3 Kota Probolinggo. Waktu pelaksanaan adalah semester genap tahun pelajaran 2014/2015. Pengumpulan data dengan observasi langsung selama tindakan dan hasil tes kemampuan siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian bahwa Pembelajaran kooperatif STAD dapat meningkatkan keterampilan mengurukan pecahan pada siswa kelas VI SDN Kebonsari Wetan 3 Kota Probolinggo. Hal ini dapat dibuktikan dengan meningkatnya ketuntasan belajar siswa dari jumlah 29 siswa yang tuntas dengan pada siklus 1 sebanyak 23, pada siklus 2 meningkat menjadi 28 siswa (96 %)

    SMKN 1 Teluk Kuantan berada di Jl. Belibis Sungai Jering, Kecamatan Kuantan Tengah, Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi, Provinsi Riau. Sekolah ini berdiri pada tahun 1969. Pada SMKN 1 Teluk Kuantan ini memiliki 3 Guru BK yang mengatasi dan menangani siswa-siswi yang ada disekolah. Sebelumnya jika siswa-siswi ingin berkonsultasi, siswa- siswi langsung mendatangi ruangan Guru BK. Bimbingan Konseling yang dilakukan tersebut biasanya dibatasi waktu mengingat jam pelajaran siswa yang sedang berlangsung. Pengarsipan data pelanggaran siswa masih dicatat secara manual kebuku besar sehingga dalam pencarian data-data yang dibutuhkan dikemudian hari kerap memakan waktu lama, datapun yang tersimpan kurang aman.Dengan adanya aplikasi Konseling Online ini dapat membantu pihak guru BK dalam pengarsipan data pelanggaran siswa serta membantu siswa melakukan konsultasi jarak jauh melalui situs website dalam bentuk aplikasi konseling online
